| Problem Detail: | sign of battery, most probably battery need to be replaced, call customer wit free estimate........... Khawer October 8th 2019 6:05PM :::: Talked to the CX. about his notebook & the battery problem. Asked him about his EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) password but he does not know about it. SMC cannot be reset if the password is not available. Serviced the whole notebook & now the battery charges, have to confirm when full charged. .. MF October 9th 2019 1:55PM :::: New Battery replaced & charged to 100%. All works fine. Informed the CX. that the SMC has to be resetted in order to get the correct readings of battery & charging & even restore/updates in future. He has a EFI password. ... MF customer bring it back.no charge.need to check.repeat Janaka 12122019 December 14th 2019 2:25PM :::: This is not a repeat repair. It a problem with the main logic board., Battery i sfully charged. Talked to the CX. & told him about this Logic board issue & will cost him $185 for the logic board repair & the EFI password removal. He said that he will let me know about this estimate with a day or so. Hold on to the notebook till I get an answer from him. ... MF |
